In Islam Death Penalty For Apostate?
Quran Surah 2. Al-Baqara, Ayah 256
'' Let there be no compulsion in religion. Truth stands out clear from error ''
Quran 10:99 '' And had your Lord willed, those on earth would have believed - all of them entirely. Then would you compel the people in order that they become believers? ''
Quran 109: 1- 6
Say, "O disbelievers,
I do not worship what you worship.
Nor are you worshippers of what I worship.
Nor will I be a worshipper of what you worship.
Nor will you be worshippers of what I worship.
For you is your religion, and for me is my religion."
(Quran 60:8)
'' As for such [of the unbelievers( atheist)] as do not fight against you on account of [your] faith, and neither drive you forth from your homelands, God does not forbid you to show them kindness and to behave towards them with full equity: for, verily, God loves those who act equitably. ''
Quran (18:29)
“ Let him who will believe and let him who will disbelieve''
Quran (3:20).
“So if they submit, then indeed they follow the right way; and if they turn back, then upon you is only the delivery of the message''
Quran
“Lo! Those who believe, then disbelieve and then (again) believe, then disbelieve, and then increase in disbelief, Allah will never pardon them, nor will He guide them unto a way (4:137).”
This verse reiterates that man is free to believe or disbelieve and to do so as many times as he wills. God will be the sole judge of such acts of apostasy.
Quran
“He who turns back on his heels shall not harm Allah a whit. Allah will certainly reward the grateful (3.145).”
The next verse makes this even clearer. In Quran 4:90, God forbade the Muslims from fighting those of the hypocrites that remained peaceful.
“...If they hold aloof from you and wage not war against you and offer you peace, Allah alloweth you no way against them.” 4:90
